Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) seed fund program at iTIC was designed specifically to support innovative deep tech business ideas and prototypes working in the field of Video Analytics. This support allowed the innovators to try their ideas without fear of failure, hence allowing them to reach a stage where they have a ready product for commercialization.

How the program delivers value

The BEL seed fund program supported 2 startups under EIR and Grant structure for financial aid and other needed support. EIR was for idea stage entrepreneurs and Grant was for prototype stage startups. The funding support provided under BEL seed fund program was upto INR 4 Lakh for EIR and Grant each.

    Eligibility criteria

    • The eligibility criteria for the EIR applicants is an Indian citizen with a graduation degree, should have a valid business idea and commitment to developing the idea and should not be a part of another company.
    • Grant applicants must be citizens of India with a graduation degree, a definite proof of concept required and should be an individual or Private Limited Companies.

      BEL iTIC Program provides seed investment to the startups who are engaged in "Video Analytics" entrepreneurship.

      Through this program, deeptech entrepreneurs working in the field of video analytics will be able to carry out the necessary process to develop their ideas into MVP.

    • What is the duration of the program?

      The total duration of the proposed project by innovators under the PRAYAS program should not exceed 12 months.

    • What happens after the program?

      The graduating startups become part of the Alumni network of the iTIC incubator and can leverage the benefits of IIT Hyderabad and iTIC’s network of students, faculties, researchers, mentors, investors, policymakers, etc.
